You are working hard to create great content. This means you need to write a good headline for all those blog posts. This is not always easy to do.
Write a Good Headline to Help with Your SEO
The best way to create content is to start with a good SEO optimized headline. If you can learn how to write a good headline, this will help you in two ways. The main reason is that the headline informs your reader what your post is about. But it can also stop you going off track when you write your post.
Some people like to create their headline after they have written their post. I find it easier to write a good headline first, then i don’t stray off topic. Which I have a tendency to do.
But, first you need to know how to write a good headline that is fully optimized for SEO. Let’s go over it.
The post seemed to have ended after it said “Let’s go over it”. I would like to learn how to write successful headlines. ?
That’s a bit odd as I can see the whole post. I have just republished it so maybe see if that works?
I will check! Very interested…
You have some good subject matter on your blog. One thing that might improve it into vary the graphics. Seeing the same banner on each post is a little off-putting. Other than that, keep up the good work. 🙂
Robert.
That was informative. Many thanks.
Hello Penelope, interesting post. It takes time to be able to develope good headlines. I have designated days for things. For Mondays I have musings, so in the title each week I say Musing Monday: (Then the title of the musing.) Do you think this is a good approach? Should I leave out Monday Musings or it is cute and informative?
Please let me know.

Hi Carly, thanks for your great question. The answer will really depend upon your aim with your blog. Some people blog and get traffic from social media channels such as Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook. They don’t really care about google and keywords. And that can work. However, if you want to get traffic from google, you need to use keyword phrases that people will be searching for. It then helps the search engines if you have the keyword phrase in your title. If you have ‘Monday Musings’ in each title, that means the title will be long and be cut off in google. For example the post you published last week, the title is cut off at ‘Is’ when you search in google. If the ‘Is there hope’ is the main point of your article, it is lost in the search listing. There are a couple of things you can do. You can stick with it if you really like it, but try to keep the rest of the title shorter. You can put the Monday Musings at the end. Or you can have a category of Monday musings and take that out of the title all together and have them grouped by category. It is you choice really. I do love the regular feature style of blog post though as i think you can be far more productive – http://penelopeburns.com/regular-features-make-you-a-productive-blogger/. I hope this answer helps a bit! Regards Penny
